PTF 569 updates COMMEXEC.NLM for sites that use NetWare for SAA 1.3B with the IBM product, "NetView MultiSystem Manager MVS/ESA" (MSM).  MSM manages Novell NetWare file servers among other things through an Open NetView compliant NLM.  The Open NetView Interface/API is provided by NetWare for SAA.  Please create a directory called DISK1 on your server into which you will unzip PTF569.EXE.

NW4SAA 1.3B "patch" useful for some organizations but unwise for many.  Provides algorithm which randomly assigns new connections among your SAA comm servers so that one will not become congested. 1) If you access several SAA servers at a central site, consider using SAA005. 2) If your SAA servers are at multiple sites, connected by a WAN, SAA005 probably will not be a good choice. 3) If you have only one SAA server, SAA005 is pointless.

SAA010.EXE provides all versions of NetWare for SAA 1.3 with DOS Workstation API support to use SNA communications for secondary dependent logical units using the LU 0, LU 1, LU 2, and LU 3 protocols.  SAA010.TXT does not provide instructions regarding the writing of LUx applications.  If you wish to write applications contact Novell Marketing for assistance at the address shown in SAA010.TXT.

SAA012.EXE provides updates for Windows client modules which come with NetWare for SAA 1.3, 1.3A and 1.3B.  Most sites do not use the modules.  If you are using the modules supplied on the disk labeled LU6.2 Client Modules, we suggest that you download SAA012.EXE for an updated version.

Files for Developers Only.  Expands NetWare Management Agent for NetView 1.3B, so that developers can write NLMs or DOS applications which can be managed by IBM's NetView.  Compatible with NetWare for SAA 2.0 and NetWare for SAA 1.3B.  Also, includes corrections to the Open NetView Programmer's Guide.

STAMPD.EXE contains a utility which displays the license number and number of sessions for up to two installed licenses.  Works with both NetWare for SAA 1.3 and NetWare for LAT 1.0.

If you have NetWare HostPrint running with NWSAA 1.3B and intend to upgrade to NWSAA 2.0 get this before you perform the upgrade!  Replaces the file responsible for converting the 1.3B Host PU HostPrint database to SAA 2.0 format.  If you have already installed the upgrade, this file will not be of assistance.

SAA023.EXE; NetWare 1.3B Maintenance -- 6-15-97/21:45p
SAA023.EXE & SAA008.EXE, together, are the current patch for SAA 1.3B and must be used together.  NOTE: SAA008 HAS NOT changed.  The patch is recommended for all SAA 1.3B sites (or SAA 1.3 with the PTF 410 series installed).  Do Not Apply to COMMEXEC and NWSAA versions below 1.3.42!  Check "Product Options" under "Load Install" First!
