LAN Manager 2.0 to 2.2 Upgrade on OS/2 Workstations (99235)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft LAN Manager 2.2
This article was previously published under Q99235 SUMMARY
When you try to upgrade an IBM OS/2 1.3 platform that is currently running
LAN Manager 2.2 to the IBM OS/2 2.0 platform, the workstation hangs when
it tries to run the NETWKSTA.SYS driver located in the CONFIG.SYS file.
Load IBM OS/2 2.0 and LAN Manager 2.2 straight off of the install
disk. You cannot do this from an upgrade package.
If you have LAN Manager 2.0 and OS/2 1.3 you can upgrade to LAN Manager
2.2 with no problems, although this is not recommended if you are running
Microsoft OS/2 1.3.
