MORE INFORMATION

No picture

If you do not receive a picture from the camera, make sure that the camera cable connector is connected securely to a controller port on the console.

Ring of Light is not illuminated

The Ring of Light (RoL) that encompasses the camera lens indicates that the camera is active. The RoL turns off when you watch a movie or play a game that does not support the camera.

If the RoL is not illuminated when you access the Dashboard, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure that the camera cable connector is connected securely to a controller port on the console.
  2. Verify that your console has the latest Xbox Live update.

Blurry or poor video quality

  1. Make sure that you adjust the focus control on the camera lens. Typically, turning the lens to the right moves the focal point further away from the camera and turning the lens to the left moves the focal point closer to the camera.

  2. Clean the camera lens. To clean the camera lens, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth or lens paper only.

Note Cleaning solutions or cleaning the connectors can damage your camera.
  3. You can improve video quality by shooting in a well-lit area and shooting against a white or light background.
  4. Put the camera in a well-ventilated location that is close to room temperature.
  5. Do not point the camera directly at a bright light or toward a window.
