SYMPTOMSYou experience poor video quality when you join or start a video conversation in Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 running through a multipoint control unit (MCU).CAUSEThis problem occurs if you use the Microsoft RTVideo video codec for the video conversation. Communicator 2005 supports the following video codecs: - Microsoft RTVideo
- ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) H.263
Although the RTVideo video codec has superior quality when compared with the H.263 video codec, some MCU products do not support the RTVideo video codec. Therefore, you experience poor video quality in the Communicator 2005 video conversation.
