Xbox 360: You cannot turn on the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, or the controller looses power and turns off when you shake the controller (922458)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot turn on the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, or the controller looses power and turns off when you shake the controller.

Note This behavior occurs even when you use new AA Alkaline batteries.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the AA battery pack is defective. A defective battery pack can lose the connection between the wireless controller and the AA battery pack.

THINGS TO TRY

  1. Replace the batteries with new AA Alkaline batteries.
  2. Try the controller again.
