SYMPTOMSYou rename a folder on a Windows SharePoint Services or Sharepoint Team Services site. When you do this, Groove Mobile Workspace for SharePoint shows the new folder name together with the files in that folder. However, an empty folder that uses the old folder name is also shown.
CAUSEThis issue occurs because SharePoint does not report its folders, only its files. Groove Mobile Workspace can detect that the parent folder of the files has a different name, as that is part of the file information. However, Groove Mobile Workspace cannot distinguish between files being moved to a different folder and the folder being renamed. Therefore, Groove cannot determine whether the folder that used to contain the files still exists. MORE INFORMATIONGroove leaves the empty folder in the workspace to avoid potential data loss.
