INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to disassociate Groove accounts on Groove Enterprise Management Server (EMS) from Active Directory.

MORE INFORMATION

If you originally create accounts on EMS through synchronization with Active Directory, those accounts remain linked to their Active Directory entries. You must disassociate that link for a member to be able to change that member's information by using EMS.

Caution This process is not reversible.

To disassociate the link between a member and the original entry in Active Directory, follow these steps:
  1. On the main Groove Management Server Administration page, click the server.
  2. Click the Directory Integration tab, and then click the Active Directory Server that you are trying to disassociate.
  3. Click to clear the Enable directory synchronization check box for the Active Directory server.
  4. Open the Member list in the Groove domain, and then double-click the member's name to open the Member Information window.
  5. Click to clear the Connect user to directory server check box, and then click OK.

Note This will permanently disassociate the link.
