This article describes the fact that Groove Mobile Workspace for SharePoint does not support the Required Field setting for a Rich Text field.

MORE INFORMATION

Groove does not change the Required Field setting on the SharePoint site. However, the Rich Text field is not required when you access the Rich Text field from Groove.
