SUMMARYThis
article describes a hotfix that you can apply to enable the Computational Proof
functionality of the Intelligent Message Filter (IMF) to work correctly. This
functionality lets you obtain a list of RFC 2821 recipients from a computer
that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003.MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) includes
IMF version 2. IMF version 2 uses SmartScreen technology. IMF version 2 also
provides a framework to enable the Computational Proof functionality.
Computational Proof reduces the chance that legitimate e-mail messages are
interpreted as unsolicited commercial e-mail (UCE).
Note UCE is also known as spam.
The Computational Proof
functionality requires access to a list of RFC 2821 recipients to work
correctly. However, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 does not expose the ability
to obtain a list of RFC 2821 recipients. Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is now
