SYMPTOMSWhen you install Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 on a Microsoft Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs-based computer, you experience the following problems: - You can send messages to the listed contacts, but you cannot see the status of the contacts.
- You can receive messages from the listed contacts, but the contacts cannot see your status.
- You do not receive requests from contacts who want to be added to your contacts list.
CAUSEThis problem occurs because Office Communicator 2005 relies on e-mail clients, such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express. However, e-mail client applications are not supported in Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs.STATUS
This behavior is by design.
