An access violation error occurs when you use a control file or the Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes to migrate many Lotus Notes mailboxes to Exchange Server 2003 (920184)

SYMPTOMS

You use a control file or the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes to migrate many Lotus Notes mailboxes to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. When you do this, an access violation occurs. Also, the NotesMig.exe process stops responding.

RESOLUTION

A hotfix was developed to address this problem. This hotfix is included in the August 2006 Web release of the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes. You can download the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes at the following Microsoft Web site:

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Prerequisites

You must have Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 and Lotus Notes Client 6.x installed to apply this hotfix.

You must restart the Migration Wizard for Lotus Notes (NotesMig.exe) after you apply this hotfix.
