This article describes how to add a cash transaction to an investment account in Microsoft Money.

To add an opening cash balance to investment account, follow these steps:
  1. In the Account list, click the investment account.
  2. Click Change account settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Cash Portions Details section.
  4. In the Opening Balance box, enter the amount.
  5. At the bottom of the screen, click Done.
To add a new cash transaction to an investment account, follow these steps:
  1. In the Account list, click the investment account.
  2. In the View section of the account register, click Cash Transactions.
  3. Click New, and then enter the transaction details.
  4. Click Enter.
