Error message when you try to send an Outlook e-mail thread to a workspace in Groove (914764)

SYMPTOMS

You try to send a Microsoft Outlook e-mail thread to a workspace in Groove Workspace or Groove Virtual Office when one of the following conditions is true:

The Discussion tool is version 3.2.0 or an earlier version of the Discussion tool
The workspace version is 2.0 or an earlier version of the workspace

In this case, you receive an error message which states that the workspace does not have a Discussion tool. Additionally, the option to create a Discussion tool may be unavailable.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Outlook integration is not supported by versions of the Discussion tool that are earlier than version 4.1.0 and versions of the Groove workspace template that are earlier than version 2.1. When the option to create a Discussion tool is unavailable, the workspace version is insufficient to support this function.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, create a new workspace by using Groove Workspace 2.1 or a later version of Groove. This new workspace will be compatible with Outlook.
