Error message if you try to remove the "Modify Permissions" permission from a Manager in the Files tool: "Unable to change permissions" (914701)

SYMPTOMS

If you try to remove the Modify Permissions permission for a Manager in the Files tool, you cannot clear the Modify Permissions check box. Additionally, you will receive the following error message:

Unable to change permissions

CAUSE

This is an error in the display. This is not a problem with the function of the tool.

MORE INFORMATION

In the File Properties dialog box, click the Permissions tab. Make sure that Manager is selected in the Select a role to modify its permissions list. The Modify Permissions check box appears to be available. However, you cannot clear the Modify Permissions check box.
