INTRODUCTION

This article discusses how Groove Management Server integrates Groove information with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory servers.

MORE INFORMATION

Groove Management Server can create accounts from the following LDAP directories:
  • iPlanet
  • Lotus Notes directory server
  • Active Directory
Groove Management Server can also synchronize Groove information with the information in these LDAP directories. When you delete an account or change an account's attributes, the changes are picked up by Groove Management Server and propagated to the managed accounts. You cannot integrate Groove client computers that are not members of the managed domain with LDAP servers. However, because Groove uses the open standard for vCards to compile information, Groove can exchange contact information with many sources, such as Microsoft Outlook.
