Error message when you try to import content to create a learning resource in Class Server 4.0 Teacher: "Unable to create learning resource from ims content" (912405)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to import content to create a learning resource in Microsoft Class Server 4.0 Teacher, the import is not successful. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Error 40d02:

Unable to create learning resource from ims content. The selected imsmanifest file cannot be unpackaged. Its contents may be corrupted or an unsupported version of the ims standard. If the problem persists, contact the publisher that provided the file.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the content is created in Microsoft Producer for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003.

Note This issue does not occur if you import the content in Microsoft Class Server 3.0 Teacher.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, change the content in Producer 2003 to remove the following lines. Do this before you import the content in Class Server 4.0 Teacher:

Remove this line:
```
<imsmd:language>en-US</imsmd:language>
```

Remove this section:

<imsmd:date>
          <imsmd:datetime>11/23/05</imsmd:datetime>
          <imsmd:description>
            <imsmd:langstring xml:lang="en-US">Date Description</imsmd:langstring>
          </imsmd:description>
         </imsmd:date>
