The installation may fail and you may receive an error message when you try to install the DTS redistributable package for SQL Server 2005 on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4-based computer (911936)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to install the Data Transformation Services (DTS) redistributable package for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 on a Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server Service Pack 4 (SP4)-based computer, the installation may fail. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
Impossible to register the module <Drive_Letter>: \Program Files \Microsoft SQL Server\80 \Tools \Binn \dtsui.DLL. HRESULT -2147024770. Contact your service of technical support.
The error code corresponding to the following message: The specified module could not be found.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when you try to install the DTS redistributable package for SQL Server 2005 on a computer that is running Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.6 or an earlier version. The DTS redistributable package for SQL Server 2005 requires the Sqlunirl.dll file. The Sqlunirl.dll file does not exist in MDAC 2.6 or earlier versions.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, you must install or upgrade to MDAC 2.8. SQL Server 2005 requires at least MDAC 2.8.
