To send a text message by using the Xbox Live message center, follow these steps:
  1. In the Xbox Live section of the Dashboard, select Messages.
  2. In the message center, select the Messages tab.
  3. Select Create New.
  4. Select Message.
  5. Select Add Recipients.
  6. Enter the Gamertag of each person to whom you want to send the text message.
  7. Select Add Text.
  8. Enter the text of your message by using the on-screen keyboard or by attaching a USB keyboard to the USB port on the front of the console.
  9. Confirm and then send the text message.
