The Inetinfo.exe process stops responding unexpectedly on the Exchange Server 2003 server (909669)

SYMPTOMS

The Inetinfo.exe process stops responding unexpectedly on the server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. This problem disrupts messaging services in the Microsoft Exchange organization. This problem occurs when envelope journaling is enabled in Exchange Server 2003.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because a malformed message causes memory corruption. This causes the SMTP service to become unstable, and affects the Inetinfo.exe process.

RESOLUTION
