SUMMARY

This article describes how to configure the Xbox Live gameplay settings on an Xbox 360 console.

MORE INFORMATION

The Xbox Live gameplay settings are located in the System section of the Xbox Dashboard under Family Settings. To make any changes to the Family Settings of a child's profile, first sign in to the child's profile. You will also have to know the Windows Live ID credentials (the e-mail address and password that you use to sign in to the Windows Live ID) for the parent's Windows Live ID account. The parent's Windows Live ID account determines the access to the Family Settings in the console.

To configure the Xbox Live gameplay settings, follow these steps:
  1. In the System section, select Family Settings, and then select Live Control. You are prompted to enter the password for Windows Live ID account that you used when you signed up for Xbox Live.
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the appropriate password for the Windows Live ID account.
  3. Select Gameplay Settings.
  4. On the Gameplay Settings screen, you can select either allowed or blocked for the following menu options:
    • Multiplayer Online Games
This option restricts your child from playing multiplayer sessions.
    • Original Xbox Online Games
This option restricts your child from playing original Xbox Live enabled games.
