SYMPTOMSThe Xbox 360 power supply light is red.CAUSEA fault has been detected in the external power supply.THINGS TO TRY- Check to make sure that the power cord is plugged directly into a known good wall outlet, and not plugged into an extension cord, surge protector, or power strip.
- Try the power supply in a different wall outlet, ideally in another part of the house. To do this, follow these steps:
- Turn off the console.
- Disconnect the cord that connects the power supply to the console.
