The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You are watching Live TV in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. You access the program details page, and then you select Record Series. However, you are not prompted to provide additional recording details, and the series is not scheduled to be recorded. You are returned to Live TV.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if your Media Center computer is using a PAL TV signal and if one of the following conditions is true:

- You are using the Media Center Electronic Program Guide. However, the channel that you are trying to use with the Record Series feature has no available data in the Electronic Program Guide.
Media Center cannot use the Record Series feature to record all available instances of the TV show if the required information does not exist in the Electronic Program Guide.

- In the Stop time field, set the stop time.
- Set any other options, such as the recording quality or storage options. Then, select Record.
