RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Download the game update

To resolve this issue, download and install the Zoo Tycoon 2 game update. Then, download the bonus item from in the game. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Download and install the Zoo Tycoon 2 game update. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

   http://zootycoon.com/Downloads/patches.htm

2. After you install the game update, start Zoo Tycoon 2.
3. On the main menu, click Downloads.
   
   Note You must be connected to the Internet.
4. On the Downloads screen, locate the bonus item that you want to install, and then click Download.
5. After the download is completed, exit Zoo Tycoon 2, and then restart the game.
6. Start the game to view the bonus content.

Method 2: Disable the firewall

If you are using a software firewall that allows or blocks access to the Internet on a per-program basis, try disabling the firewall to resolve this issue. Examples of firewalls that allow or block access to the Internet on a per-program basis include Zone Alarm, McAfee Personal Firewall, Norton Internet Security, and Black Ice Defender.
