INTRODUCTIONIssues that the hotfix package fixesThis hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article: - When you close a workbook after you run a Microsoft Visual Basic for Application (VBA) macro in Excel 2003, Excel 2003 may close unexpectedly. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error signature that resembles the following error signature: Application name | Application version | Module name | Module version | Offset | Excel.exe | 11.0.6355.0 | Vbe6.dll | 6.4.99.72 | 0008c71f |
- Consider the following scenario. In an Office 2003 program, you run a VBA macro that saves a file as an .xml file. In this scenario, you expect a late bound call to the file to occur after the file has been saved as an .xml file. However, the late bound call does not occur. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Error: 0x80010105 (-2147417851)
Facility: FACILITY_RPC
Code: 261
RPC_E_SERVERFAULT
The server threw an exception.
