You can use the MSN Money Web site to view your account status information and to determine whether you are experiencing any problems with your account. How to troubleshoot account-related errors

The following list provides information about each error code and the action that you must take to correct the problems that occur with the account:

• Error code 1051 You receive this error code if your financial institution has been migrated to an improved online service provider. You must set up the online service again in order to receive the updates. When you receive this error code, disable and then re-enable online services.
• Error code 1050 You receive this error code if your financial institution's online services have been temporarily disabled. Check back periodically to see if the provider's online services are enabled. Try to update the accounts later.
• Error code 1002 You receive this error code if you have recently provided your log on information for the first time, but the financial institution has not yet sent the initial transmission of data from your account. When you receive this error code, wait before you try to update the accounts.
• Error code 1001 You receive this error code if you have requested an intraday update but updated account information has not yet been received from your bank or brokerage. Wait and then try to update the accounts later.
• Error code 1000 This is the default error code for a new account. Either you have not yet supplied the log on information for this account. Or, the account is held at a financial institution that MSN Money does not connect to. Verify that you entered the correct log on information. Try to update the accounts later.
• Error code 0 This is the default error code indicating no problems were encountered. No action is required. This account appears to be updating without problems.
• Error code -1 This error code is the ObjectView Form Definition (OFD) value for the service object. This error code is rare; you may never receive this error code. If you do receive this error code, contact Microsoft Product Support Services.

• Error code -2000 You receive this error code if MSN experienced a technical problem processing account information that was received from the data provider and the technical problem causes an internal system failure. To troubleshoot this error code, use one of the following methods:

    889927 You receive the "Account setup is temporarily unavailable" error message when you try to set up a Money 2005 account or a Money 2006 account to download data from Yodlee services

  • If the account is updating and suddenly stops updating, try to create a new Passport Network ID, and then set up the account again. If the problem still exists, contact Microsoft Product Support Services.

• Error code -2050 By default, error code -2050 is the catch all error code that is used when we find an unrecognized error code. Error code -2050 is rare; you may never receive this error code. If you do receive error code -2050, contact Microsoft Product Support Services.

• Error code -3000 You receive this error code if the log on information that you supplied is incorrect and you must re-supply the log on data that you use for your financial institution's Web site to obtain your account information. If your financial institution recently change their login process, it may take some time to apply those changes to Money.
• To troubleshoot error code -3000, use one of the following methods:
  • Visit your financial institution's Web site, and then sign in to verify that you are using the correct credentials.
  • Try to re-set up online services for the financial institution by using the same log on credentials that you use on your financial institution's Web site.

• Error code -3001 If you receive error code -3001, your financial institution's Web site is requesting that you perform some action before Money can finish updating your account. Visit your financial Institution's Web site, and then sign in. Complete the action requessted.
  
  Note If the Web site recently changed and now requires a second log on every time, such as typing what appears on the Web site, unfortunately the account may not be able to automatically update. If the financial institution offers a download option, you may be able to import that file into Money.

• Error code -3002 You receive this error code if the data provider was not able to collect the account information. This issue may occur if the Web site that the data provider tried to collect the information from was down or was not available.

• Error code -3003 You receive this error code if the financial institution's Web site has changed and the data provider can no longer obtain information from this site. . Contact Microsoft Product Support Services and notify the support agent that your financial institution's Web site has changed recently.

• Error code -3004 You receive this error code if the data provider's hosted pages failed and prematurely sent you back to the MSN Money site without completing the task. To troubleshoot this error code, use one of the following methods:
  • Check your financial institution's Web site to see if there are problems accessing the Web site, or if the URL has changed.

• Error code -3005 You receive this error code if the currency that one or more of your MSN Money accounts uses is not supported. You must track the transactions in the account. To do this, manually enter the transaction data.
• Error code -4000 You receive this error code if you have to change your PIN at your financial institution. To do this, use a PIN change request. Contact your financial institution for help with changing the PIN.
• Error code -4001 You receive this error code if the OFX credentials that you provided are incorrect. Contact your financial institution for help determining the correct log on credentials.
  
  Note OFX credentials may be different from the credentials that you use to access the financial institution's Web site.
• Error code -4002 You receive this error code if your account is being used. Contact your financial institution for help troubleshooting this error code.
• Error code -4003 You receive this error code if your PIN is in a lockout state. Contact your financial institution to unlock the PIN.
• Error code -4004 You receive this error code if the financial institution experienced errors when it processed the information for this account. Contact your financial institution for help troubleshooting this error code.
• Error code -4005 You receive this error code if this account is not recognized by the financial institution. Contact your financial institution for help troubleshooting this error code.
• Error code -4006 You receive this error code if this account is closed. Contact your financial institution for help troubleshooting this error code.
• Error code -4007 You receive this error code if this account is not authorized for online services. Contact your financial institution for help troubleshooting this error code.
• Error code -4008 You receive this error code if the provider experienced a general error for this specific account. Contact your financial institution for help troubleshooting this error code.
• Error code -4009 You receive this error code if the online banking service has expired. Contact your financial institution for help troubleshooting this error code.
• Error code -4010 You receive this error code if the downloaded statement contains currency that is different from the account currency. Make sure that the currency that is used in the account that is stored on the MSN Money servers uses the same currency that is used on the financial institution's Web site.
• Error code -4011 You receive this error code if your financial institution could not change your password. Contact your financial institution for help troubleshooting this error code. .
• Error code -5001 You receive this error code if Money has detected new accounts on your financial institution's website. To add these accounts to Money, click the link in the message.
• Error code -5002 You receive this error code if the account update failed. The financial institution identifier may have changed. You need to set up the online service again in order to receive the updates. When you receive this error code, disable and then re-enable online services.
• Error code -5003 You receive this error code if one or more of your accounts was not successfully downloaded. Try updating again.
• Error code -5004 You receive this error code if you've entered incorrect sign-in information. To troubleshoot this error code, use one of the following methods:
  • Visit your financial institution's Web site, and then sign in to verify that you are using the correct credentials.
  • Try to re-set up online services for the financial institution by using the same log on credentials that you use on your financial institution's Web site.
• Error code -5005 You receive this error code if you try to add an account that is already present in Money. Verify if you already have accounts set up for online services with this financial institution and then either update those accounts or disable online services for those accounts so that you can set up services for your other accounts.
