  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0

SYMPTOMS

If you try to view a Web page by using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, the Web page does not work correctly. For example, images do not appear on the Web page, or you cannot submit a form. This symptom occurs if the Web page contains Active content such as ActiveX scripts, ActiveX controls, or Java programs.

Note When this symptom occurs, Internet Explorer 6 does not stop responding. You can still view other Web pages.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if a compressed script is truncated. For example, this issue occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • The Web page that you try to view contains a compressed script.
  • The compressed script is partially decompressed after the compressed script is downloaded.
If a compressed script is partially decompressed, the script is truncated and does not run correctly. Therefore, the Web page does not work correctly.
