You may lose network connectivity and ActiveSync 4.0 may not synchronize data as expected when you connect a Windows Mobile 5.0-based device to a computer (902272)

SYMPTOMSWhen you connect a Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0-based device to a computer, the computer may lose network connectivity.
Additionally, Microsoft ActiveSync 4.0 may not synchronize data as expected.CAUSEThis problem may occur when the network connection for the Windows Mobile 5.0-based device is configured to use Intel Adpater Switching.
Note This problem does not occur when you disconnect the Windows Mobile 5.0-based device from the computer.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, disable Intel Adapter Switching on the network connection for the Windows Mobile 5.0-based device. To do this, follow these steps: - Click Start, click Run, type ncpa.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
- Right-click the connection for the Windows Mobile 5.0-Adapter, and then click Properties.
- On the Wireless Network tab, click to select the Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings check box.
- Click OK.
Note If you cannot click to select the Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings check box, contact the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) of this product for additional details.
