SYMPTOMS
When you use the Covast EDI Schema Editor extension in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, and then you test a map in the BizTalk Mapper, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
btm1050: XSL transform error: There is no Unicode byte order mark. Cannot switch to Unicode.
This problem occurs if you select Native as the value for the
Test Map command when you process an EDI document.
RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 service pack that contains this hotfix.

To apply this hotfix, you must have BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1 installed on the computer.
