MORE INFORMATION

Your Microsoft Money data file is directly associated with the Passport Network credentials that you specify when you open a new data file.

You may want to access your data files without using your Passport Network credentials and a password to open the data files.

To access your data file without using your Passport Network credentials, follow these steps:
  1. Start Money.
  2. On the File menu, click New.
  3. Type a name for the new Money file in the File name box, and then click OK.
  4. On the Thank you for using Microsoft Money screen, click Next.
  5. Click Browse to choose the location where you want to save your files or click Next to accept the default location.
  6. On the Help protect your online privacy and security page, click Decline.
  7. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm whether you want to continue without a Passport Network account.
  8. Type a password in the Password box, and then retype the password in the Confirm Password box.

Note If you do not want to assign a password for your Money file, click to select the I don't want to use a password for my Money file check box.
  9. Click Next to continue with the rest of the New File Wizard.
