When you use booklet mode to print a document that contains an embedded EPS graphics file, the file does not print correctly in Windows XP (899606)

SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Windows XP, you use booklet mode to print a document that contains an embedded encapsulated PostScript (EPS) graphics file. In this scenario, the file does not print correctly. Additionally, you may receive the following error message on the printout:
ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: pp_clip
CAUSE
This issue may occur if you use a Pscript5.dll PostScript printer driver. This driver cannot correctly print an embedded EPS graphics file in booklet mode.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods:
- Convert the EPS graphics file to a different format, such as a .bmp or .jpg format, and then insert the new graphics file into your document.
- Use a PostScript printer driver that does not use the Pscript5.dll file. Contact the manufacturer of the printer for more information about a PostScript driver that does not use the Pscript5.dll file.

- If you are using Microsoft Word to print the document, use one of following methods to print the file:
- Set the printing preferences for the document to Flip on Short edge. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Print.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Layout tab, and then click Flip on Short Edge under Print on Both Sides to print on both sides of the paper with pages that are bound on the top edge.
- Change the page layout to Book fold before you print the document. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Page Setup.
- Click the Margins tab, click Book fold in the Multiple pages list, and then click OK.
Note You may have to adjust the margins.
