You do not receive an e-mail message when Communicator 2005 forwards a call (899570)

SYMPTOMSWhen Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 forwards a call from a computer, you do not receive an e-mail message for the forwarded call.CAUSEThis issue occurs because Communicator 2005 only sends an e-mail message for a forwarded call when you use location-based forwarding. Static forwarding does not generate an e-mail message.WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, use location-based forwarding. To do this, follow these steps: - On the Actions menu, click Options.
- Click the Phones tab.
- Under Call forwarding, click Location-based forwarding, and then click Configure.
- Perform one of the following steps:
- Click When I am using this computer, forward my calls to this number, and then click the location to which you want to forward your calls.
- Click to select the When all of my computers running Communicator are idle, forward my calls to this number check box, and then click the location to which you want to forward your calls.
- Click OK to close the Configure Location-Based Forwarding dialog box.
- Click OK to close the Options dialog box.
