FIX: The POSIX subsystem process, Korn shell scripts, and Interix applications may crash after you install Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 on a computer that is running Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 (899522)

SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX 3.5, you may experience all the following symptoms:
  • The Portable Operating System Interface for UNIX (POSIX) subsystem process (Psxss.exe) may crash.
  • Korn shell scripts may no longer run, or Korn shell scripts may crash when you run them.
  • Microsoft Interix applications may crash.
