FIX: The Windows Forms ComboBox control may take longer to populate after you install the .NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3 (899434)

SYMPTOMS

After you install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3 (SP3), the Microsoft Windows Forms ComboBox control of the System.Windows.Forms namespace may take longer to populate.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a security change that is implemented when you install the .NET Framework 1.0 SP3.

To verify that you are experiencing this problem, turn off the .NET Framework security, and then test whether the ComboBox control still takes longer to populate.
