You receive a "The Setup Wizard has detected that Microsoft SQLXML SP2 is not installed" error message when you try to install the Banking Alerts Reference Application for Speech Application SDK 1.0 (899310)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to install the Banking Alerts Reference
Application for Microsoft Speech Application Software Development Kit (SDK) 1.0
on a computer that has SQLXML 3.0 Service Pack 3 (SP3) installed, the
installation fails and you receive the following error
message: The Setup Wizard has
detected that Microsoft SQLXML SP2 is not installed. Please install SQLXML SP2
and run the Setup Wizard again.
CAUSEThis
problem occurs when the code that is used by the Setup Wizard to detect the
version of a service pack does not detect that SQLXML 3.0 SP3 has been
installed on the computer.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, uninstall Speech Application SDK
1.0. After you do this, install Microsoft Speech Application Software
Development Kit (SDK) 1.1. Then, install the Banking Alerts Reference
Application for Speech Application SDK 1.1. To download Speech
Application SDK 1.1, visit the following Microsoft Web site: WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, follow these steps:
- Uninstall SQLXML 3.0 SP3.
- Install SQLXML 3.0 Service Pack (SP) 2.
- Re-install the Banking Alerts Reference Application for
Speech Application SDK 1.0.
- Reinstall SQLXML 3.0 SP3.
