A hyperlink that you insert into an e-mail template may be formatted incorrectly when you click Save in Microsoft CRM 1.2 (897165)

SYMPTOMS

When you create an e-mail template in Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2, and you type or paste a hyperlink into the message body of the e-mail template, the hyperlink may become incorrectly formatted when you click Save.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if the hyperlink that you type or that you paste contains a dynamic field. For example, this issue occurs if you insert a hyperlink that is similar to the following in the message body of the e-mail template:

http://www.example.com/test.asp?id={!account:accountNumber;}

The Microsoft CRM 1.2 e-mail template cannot correctly interpret a text entry that contains both a hyperlink and a dynamic field.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
