SYMPTOMS

When you upload your Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 slides to Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005, you receive the following warning message: McAfee VirusScan detects drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Powerpnt.exe contains suspicious scripting activity.

CAUSE

This issue may occur when you use the McAfee VirusScan program on your computer. This warning message is typical. The warning message is prompting you for verification to let the program to run.

WORKAROUND

Warning This workaround may make your computer or your network more vulnerable to attack by malicious users or by malicious software such as viruses. An antivirus program is designed to help protect your computer from viruses. You must not download or open files from sources that you do not trust, visit Web sites that you do not trust, or open e-mail attachments when your antivirus program is disabled.

When you receive the warning message from the McAfee VirusScan program, click Allow Entire script this time. The process of uploading your slides to Live Meeting 2005 should then finish.

To prevent this warning message from appearing when you upload your slides to Live Meeting 2005, you can temporarily disable the McAfee VirusScan program.

To temporarily disable the McAfee VirusScan program, right-click the red M icon that is located in the notification area, point to VirusScan, and then click Disable.

Note Make sure that you enable the McAfee VirusScan program after you finish uploading your slides to Live Meeting 2005.
