Canadian addresses are not correctly displayed in Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2 (896168)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2, you can click Get Directions to link to the Microsoft MSN MapPoint Web site where you can view directions and maps. However, when you type a Canadian address, Canadian addresses are not correctly displayed. Multiple results are displayed, even if the address that you type is complete and correct.

This issue occurs in the following scenario. You type a Canadian address on an account. You click eResources, and then you click GetDirections.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. On the Microsoft CRM Web client, click GoTo, point to Sales, and then click Accounts.
  2. Create a new account that has a valid Canadian address, and then click Save.
  3. Click eResources, and then click GetDirections.
Several address options are returned even though the correct and complete address information has been entered on the Account.
