SYMPTOMS
If you add criteria to an expression after you exit the Discount Manager in Microsoft Commerce Server 2002, the discount is not applied. The discount is not applied when an expression that contains custom properties is set. Additionally, the following error messages may be written to the pipeline log:
Pipeline Error: Component Execution failed for component[0x8] hr: 0x80020005
ProgID: Commerce.OrderDiscount.1
Property 'Product._product_categories' could not be converted to the appropriate type.
Got a variant of type 8204, expected type 8.
