Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next version of Microsoft Business Solutions CRM that contains this hotfix.

Installation information

Install this hotfix on the server that is running Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Integration for Great Plains. To install the hotfix, follow these steps:

Stop the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains services:
1. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
2. Right-click BizTalk Messaging Service, and then click Stop.
3. In the Stop Other Services dialog box, click Yes.
Download the 894889 hotfix package to the server that is running Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains.
Log into the server as an administrator.
Double-click the file that you downloaded in step 2, and then extract this file to a location on the server.
Double-click the Great Plains Business Objects.msi package to run the hotfix installation.
After the installation is complete, restart the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains services:
1. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
2. Right-click BizTalk Messaging Service, and then click Start.
3. Right-click CRM Integration Messaging Service, and then click Start.

Application information

When you install this hotfix, the Microsoft Great Plains Business Objects COM+ components are replaced.

Prerequisites

To install this update, you must have Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains installed.

Removal information

To remove the updated Microsoft Great Plains Business Objects that are installed with this hotfix, you must remove Microsoft Great Plains Business Objects by using Add or Remove Programs. To reinstall the original Microsoft Great Plains Business Objects that are used with the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains, use the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains installation CD.

Restart requirement

If you are prompted, restart the computer after you install this hotfix.
