Address information may not be added in the correct address fields when you add a new contact to the Contact address book in Outlook 2003 (893713)

SYMPTOMSAssume that you add a new contact from one of the following address books to the Contact address book in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003: - A special global address list
- A custom address book provider entry
In this scenario, the address information may not be added in the correct address fields. CAUSEThis problem occurs because Microsoft Outlook does not support the address information when the contact contains more than one type of address. For example, Outlook does not support both a home address and a business address for a contact.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.MORE INFORMATIONThe Add to Contacts function in Outlook lets you import only one address from the business or home address categories. Therefore, if the source address book contains more than one address under either category, the information from all the addresses is combined. This combination of addresses is added to the Contacts address book. Therefore, some of the address information is incorrectly imported to the address fields in the Contact address book. Additionally, some of the address information is lost.
Note All other contact information is correctly imported.
