SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You add a public folder to
the
Favorite Folders pane in Microsoft Outlook. You notice that an incorrect
number of unread items is displayed for the public folder. To resolve the
problem, you install the hotfix that is described in the following Microsoft
Knowledge Base article:
843159 An incorrect number of unread items may be displayed for public folders when you use Outlook with Exchange Server 2003
Then, you run the following command to repair
any inconsistencies:
isinteg -s servername -test folder -fix
In this scenario, an incorrect number of
unread items is still displayed for the public folder in the
Favorite
Folders pane. For example, the number of unread items may be displayed
as one or more even though there are no unread items in the public folder.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported
hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the
problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are
experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that
you wait for the next Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 service pack that contains
this hotfix.

The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time
(UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To
find the difference between UTC and local time, use the
Time
Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
