Microsoft CRM 1.2 changes an e-mail attachment's file name extension to .txt when Microsoft CRM creates an activity record and an attachment record for an e-mail that you receive (892054)

SYMPTOMSYou receive an e-mail message that contains an attachment. Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2 creates an activity record and an attachment record. When you view the attachment object in the e-mail message, you see that the attachment's file name extension is not .txt. For example, the file name extension is .pdf. However, when you view the attachment for the activity record in Microsoft CRM, you see that Microsoft CRM has changed the file name extension to .txt. This problem does not occur for all e-mail attachments.CAUSEThis problem occurs if the e-mail message's filename value is not enclosed in double quotation marks. The filename value is in the content-disposition attribute of the MIME header.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, apply hotfix 890596.
