Xbox: Joining an Xbox Live game in Worms 3D Special Edition (891845)

Worms 3D Special Edition is an Xbox Live Aware game. An Xbox Live Aware game automatically signs you in to Xbox Live when the game starts.

Join a game

  1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) up or down to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button to view the Ready screen.
  2. On the Ready screen, press the A button to view the Xbox Live screen.
  3. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Quick Match or OptiMatch, and then press the A button.

Quick Match

With the Quick Match option, you can search for a game session and then decide whether to join the game immediately or to search for another game session.

After you select Quick Match from the Xbox Live screen, the game immediately searches for a game session for you to join.
  • If a game session is found, the game information is displayed on the Lobby screen. Press the A button to join that game.
  • If no game session is found, you continue to the Host Game screen.

OptiMatch

With the OptiMatch option, you can specify your game preferences and then search for games that match those preferences.
  1. On the OptiMatch screen, press the D-pad up or down to select one of the following options, and then press the A button to view that option's dropdown menu:
    • Max Player: Don't Care, 2, 3, 4
    • Landscape: Don't Care, Player Defined, Select from one of the thirty-three landscapes available
    • Scheme: Don't Care, Select from one of twelve schemes available
    • Voice: Not Required, Required
    • Language: Don't Care, English US, France
  2. On the option's dropdown menu, press the D-pad up or down to select the setting for that option, and then press the A button to return to the OptiMatch screen. Repeat this step for each option that you want to configure.
  3. After you configure your options, press the D-pad up or down to select the Spy Glass icon, and then press the A button to search for game sessions.
  4. If any game sessions are found, press the D-pad up or down to select the session that you want to join, and then press the A button.

    If no game sessions are found, you continue to the Host Game screen.
