BUG: Windows Media Player on a hyperthreaded computer stops responding when you transfer DRM files to a portable music player device (891663)

SYMPTOMSOn a computer with hyperthreading enabled, when you transfer
lots of Microsoft Windows Media files that are protected with Digital Rights
Management (DRM) to a portable music player device, Microsoft Windows Media
Player 9 may stop responding (hang) and the transfer may stop.RESOLUTION This bug was corrected in Windows XP Service Pack 2 and
in Windows Media Player 10.
