SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer, the garbage collector in the common language runtime that is included with the .NET Framework 1.1 may cause data corruption. This problem occurs when Generation 2 collection requests are made to the common language runtime in concurrent or non-concurrent mode.
