Products that you add to an opportunity are not listed in a quote, in an order, or in an invoice that you associate with that opportunity in Microsoft CRM 1.0 Sales for Outlook (885750)

SYMPTOMS

You create a new opportunity in Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.0 Sales for Outlook, and then you add products to the opportunity. You point to Add Related on the Actions menu, and then you click Quote, Order, or Invoice to associate a quote, an order, or an invoice with the opportunity. However, the products that you added to the opportunity are not listed in the quote, in the order, or in the invoice.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because products that you add to an opportunity are not copied to a quote, to an order, or to an invoice that is associated with that opportunity in Microsoft CRM 1.0 Sales for Outlook.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, manually add to the quote, to the order, or to the invoice the products that you want. To do this, follow these steps:

Start Microsoft CRM 1.0 Sales for Outlook, and then click Opportunities.
Double-click the opportunity that you want to configure.
Click Sales, and then click one of the following, depending on your situation:
- Quotes
- Orders
- Invoices
Double-click the quote, the order, or the invoice.
Click Products, and then click one of the following, depending on your situation:
- New Quote Product
- New Order Product
- New Invoice Product
Add the product and the product information that you want, and then click Save and Close on the File menu.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 to add to the quote, to the order, or to the invoice the products that you want.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.This problem has been resolved in Microsoft CRM 1.2 Sales for Outlook.
