A message appears in the Information Bar when you open a Web page that must download an ActiveX control after you install Windows XP SP2 (884674)

SYMPTOMSAfter you install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2),
when you open a Web page that must download an ActiveX control in Microsoft
Internet Explorer, you receive the following message in the Information Bar:
The site might require the following ActiveX control:
<Your control information>.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, right-click the Information Bar,
and then click Install ActiveX Control. You then receive a
prompt to download the ActiveX control.STATUS This
behavior is by design.MORE INFORMATIONYou cannot bypass the Information Bar unless your
ActiveX control is pre-installed on the computer. You receive a modal dialog
box the first time this behavior occurs. This modal dialog box explicitly calls
your attention to the new feature.
