SYMPTOMSWhen you open a file that was created in Microsoft PowerPoint X for Mac, objects such as charts or graphs may appear as a red "X."CAUSEThis behavior occurs if you open the file on your Microsoft Windows-based computer.WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, ungroup the objects. To do this, follow these steps: - Start PowerPoint X for Mac. Then, open the file that contains the chart or graph that is not displayed correctly.
- Select the chart or graph, click Draw, click Ungroup, and then click Yes.
- Save the file. Then, open the file on your Windows-based computer.
