How to play .avi files and other video files in Live Meeting (883859)

INTRODUCTION

This article discusses how to play Audio-Video Interleaved (.avi) files and other types of video files in Microsoft Office Live Meeting.

MORE INFORMATION

Live Meeting is not designed to play video files such as .avi files. To play .avi files or other types of video files, we recommend that you post the video file to a Web site. Then, use the Web Slide feature in Live Meeting to play the video during your meeting.

To use the Web Slide feature in Live Meeting to play the video during your meeting, follow these steps:
  1. Click Insert, and then click Web Slide.
  2. In the Enter the World Wide Web location (URL) for the new Web slide box, type the URL for the video file that you want to play, and then click Verify Web Slide.
  3. On the Web Slide Safety Check screen, click Create Web Slide.
