"This version of BizTalk Server requires Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later" error message when you try to install BizTalk Server 2004 (883377)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to install Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 on a computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (64 bit), you may receive the following error message:
This version of BizTalk Server requires Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC). For additional information about how to upgrade the MDAC, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
